Biodanza in my Life
Biodanza in My Life
I fell in love with Biodanza from my very first class thirty-five years ago, and that love has only grown stronger over time.
I began my formal training in 1999 in Italy, completing the three-year program at the Biodanza Model School of Milan to become a certified facilitator. Later, I advanced to become a Biodanza trainer for teachers, which in Biodanza we call a "didact." This was an important milestone in my journey.
I've also completed specialized training in Biodanza and Health, as well as Biodanza for Human Development in Companies and Organizations. This corporate training has opened wonderful possibilities for bringing my experience in team building and stress management directly into workplaces, where people constantly face new challenges.
Learning never stops for me. I continue attending advanced and specialty trainings because I love dancing alongside my fellow facilitators and discovering fresh approaches to presenting Biodanza and guiding classes.
Living in several different countries with my family has been a unique experience that enriched us both personally and as a family. It also gave me the opportunity to share Biodanza in diverse cultural environments.
I'm proud to serve as a permanent tutor and frequent didact at the Biodanza School of the East Coast, which opened in Fall 2024 under the direction of my dear friend Michelle Dubreuil.
This October, I'm opening a weekly class near DuPont Circle in downtown Washington DC. I look forward to expanding with more classes to give people various ways to experience Biodanza, whether through weekly sessions, monthly gatherings, or specialty workshops. The possibilities are truly endless!
Working with people brings me such joy. They might arrive tired, stressed, or distracted by life's demands, but once our Biodanza session begins, I watch faces transform. Tension melts away, smiles emerge, and everyone becomes happier and ready to embrace the pleasure of dancing their life.
I just love it!
